Strategic Quality Management

I recently used Dr. Sower's Essentials of Quality book to teach a senior level course on quality management and found it to be exceptional. From his conceptualization of quality management at the strategic level to his discussion of the statistics underpinning control charting, the text is clear and concise and immediately understandable. The text has appropriate depth and breadth help beginners grasp the basic principles of quality management and experts understand how to strategically embrace quality management at all levels within their organizations. Dr. Sower's experiential approach to learning sets his book apart from other quality texts. Not only does he provide material necessary to increase knowledge levels but also experiential exercises to ensure that appropriate quality-related skills are also developed. In addition to being an excellent text for university courses, I believe that the text is well suited for use in corporate training situations as well. Dr. Sower has extensive experience in both academia and industry. This experience is evident throughout. It is seldom that one text is well suited for both academic and corporate uses. My experience with the book leads me to believe that Dr. Sower's Essentials of Quality will well serves needs of educators and practicing managers.

Dr. Sower's book, Essentials of Quality, is an excellent tool for the classroom. Dr. Sower through his book helps the professor take the subject of quality to a much higher level in the classroom through experiential exercises that are both practical and engaging for the students. His ability to convey difficult subject matter is amazing and extremely beneficial to the students and the teacher as well. The book would be an excellent tool for individual, organizations and classrooms. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to increase their knowledge in the area of quality.

I needed this book for a class

and it came in good condition, very well packed and it's a decent book. I mean, I wouldn't personally buy it if I didn't have to and in all honesty I think there are some other books that address quality better than this one but, it was required for a class and the book meets my expectations from a quality of materials, packaging, etc.

This is a basic book, but the basics are the foundation of success. Basics are EASY TO LEARN but essential to master, or you will keep failing, even though you try all kinds of "patterns" and "programming" of women, and "game." DO WHAT WORKS! This book covers, in great detail but using as few words as necessary to get the point across, exactly where to find the type of girls YOU want to meet, and what to say to them. If you read and master this one book you will do well with women forever, without having to spend hundreds of dollars on home-study courses or thousands of dollars on seminars: and make no mistake: thousands of men do. I know: I have attended those seminars as a guest teacher.�
Here are some basics you need to know in order to do well with women (generally speaking--of course occasional exceptions exist):

When you meet a girl for the first time, several factors will decide how "hot" she thinks you are and how fast she will try to please you. If��you are a rock star and it is your concert, you are a 10 and she is a 3, or even a 2. You are in total control of your interaction and she will do all kinds of things she never tells mommy and daddy--all to impress you with her sex-appeal. On the other hand, if you are at a party and she has spent 3 hours perfecting her look (dress, hair, make-up, attitude, etc.) and is surrounded by her friends and several dumb guys all pawing at her, she is now at the 9-10 part of the scale psychologically and you are anywhere from 2 to 7 at best. She is in control. It is even worse at a club, where you are expected to spend money and time impressing her.

You can change the balance of power at any time.�You do this by thinking ahead. You know what you are good at. You know your strengths (and weaknesses) and you should always have some of your strengths on display. Don't be like that reality TV-show star who is always taking off his shirt to show off his abs. That is just stupid and gets old very fast. But make sure that you are always projecting your best qualities, even if they seem to go unseen. You can also increase your sexual identity by being different--by subtly�asserting your unique identity. Being yourself--being different, or non-generic shows a girl that you have the confidence she does not. You can be whomever you want because you don't care about what other people say or think about you--you are having too much fun in life being you. This is imperative to master. Girl's want to have fun, not be pawed and worshiped by another cretin (loser) with noting exciting to offer. Going back to #1 (above); if you are in your moment of power (e.g. you are a jock at the football game, or you are the chess master and you are in the championship finals, and so on...) you radiate power and generic appeal that you do not when you are wearing a suit and tie at work, in your cubicle, on Wednesday afternoon. But, if you have some small but�noticeable "thing" about you that piques women's interest (and you don't have to impress every one of them) you will find them much more interested in you and your confidence will rise naturally from all of the extra attention.

Always make friends with women.�It is a�clich� that women never have sex with their friends. (This is a lie--a LOT of women have sex with their friends; when they are drunk, when their friends are hot, when they are lonely, when they realize they "really like" their friends...), but making friends with women disempowers and demystifies women in general. They are no longer foreign objects, or strange creatures from the planet "I want some of that!" You easily become comfortable with women in general which makes it easier for you to be comfortable with the women you want to do all kinds of fun things with. By contrast, if you cannot make casual friends with women you will have a much harder time getting the ones you want to do ANYTHING you want. Go easy on yourself; practice being yourself on your women friends. Practice increasing your sexual appeal with people (female ones) who already like you. This will make it infinitely easier to approach the super-hotties you can't seem to stop drooling over. It will also help your sexual prowess, as getting with a girl won't be such a huge accomplishment that your body gets all orgasmic on you at the thought of her touching you.

An excellent guide for the average man

This book is hilarious - and it works. It is a step-by-step guide to meeting girls on the street (coffeehouses, laundromats, grocery stores, gas stations... you get the idea). We didn't really see much on funerals: the author did mention picking up girls at funerals, so we were hoping for a bit more detail on that. But what you will learn here is how to approach ANY girl casually, no matter where you are, and with no stress on you: no matter "how hot you think she is." Then you will learn how to transition from "hello" into getting the girl interested enough in you to give you a few minutes of her time to work your magic, and then get her number. Not to worry, the author even has a few tricks to show you how to do that as well. This book is a MUST HAVE, but it is far from the only book you should read.

This book will not make you a superstar PUA, but if you have any game at all, what you will learn here will definitely improve your performance just about anywhere. You will even learn how to pick up girls in front of your girlfriend, and how to pick up 2-3 girls at once (in front of each other). We tried some of these techniques and they were as easy as the author claims. Of course we have had some practice over the years, but even so, this is stuff any guy can - and should - master.

The price was reasonable enough - about 1/2 the cost of a cheap first date, and the laughs were pretty good as well. If you do get a copy of this book, **be sure to read the entire thing**. It is a 30 day home study course on picking up girls you see everywhere, but it is also a course on becoming more popular in general. It won't teach you game, but it will teach you how to use what you've got - even if you only have a little.

Decent, but information overload dude!

Okay, so I liked the book - but if it were about 50 pages shorter I might have liked it a lot better. This guy starts off with how to pick up chicks wherever you see them every day, and he goes too much into why this approach works, and how this other approach is weak or strong (he sounds like my old professors), and then he has this cool section on how to read their palms (I have seen guys do this stuff - that and that trick where they tell your future by your handwriting). Anyway, that was all okay, and of course he has to spend a hundred pages telling you how to put all of this together; what to do if she says this, what to do if her boyfriend shows up, how to get out of a conversation with a psycho chick (I say just leave - don't even say goodbye), and then he has some tests, and experiences from people I really don't care about. No offense but I just ant to know how I can get laid, you know?

This book has a TON of information but I felt like I was back in school. I did try what he said over the past week and a half and it seems to be working, I got a few chick's phone numbers, but I think he could have saved me a lot of time reading by just telling me straight out how to approach hotties at the store, gas station (and so on), get the number and leave it at that. Once I have a girl's number in my pocket I think I know what to do. I don't know. Does it work? Sure. And it is funny at times. About the Author
Algis Budrys (1931–2008) was born in K�nigsberg, East Prussia, where his father served in the Lithuanian diplomatic corps. The family came to the United States when Budrys was five years old. A Renaissance man, he wrote stories and novels, and was an editor, critic, and reviewer, a teacher of aspiring writers, and a publisher. In the 1960s Budrys worked in public relations, advertising products such as pickles, tuna fish, and four-wheel-drive vehicles. His science fiction novels include Rogue Moon, Hard Landing, Falling Torch, and many others. His Cold War science fiction thriller Who? was adapted for the screen, and he received many award nominations for his work. Budrys was married to his wife, Edna, for almost fifty-four years.

First rate, thought provoking sci fi at its best!

The creation of human replicants allows for the study of a mysterious alien artifact on the moon. The humans and their alter ego replicants become one mentally, and both share the experience when one enters the artifact, in which all who enter ultimately die. The remaining human can then describe what the other saw and felt inside, allowing further study of the artifact. When the remaining humans are unable to communicate the information, due to insanity brought on by the memory experience of dying, a search begins for a man who can withstand the experience. That search brings together some fascinating characters, who find that facing the project is less difficult than facing their own demons, brought out fully during participation in the project. The character interactions and development are superb, and ultimately elevate this gripping story to the highest level. Fundamental human issues of life and death are explored effectively, as the characters struggle to define their lives in the face of an uncaring, unyielding and mysterious object.

Sci-fi as a character study of men who live dangerously

During science fiction's Golden Age, it was almost taken for granted that the characters of sci-fi were the same characters found in fantasy: consummate wizards who could solve any problem, helpless damsels in distress, and intrepid heroes who could slay the toughest dragon. True, the wizard wore a lab coat rather than a pointed hat, and the hero flew a rocket ship instead of riding a white horse, but at essence, they were the same types: flat, flawless, and wholly unbelievable. Budrys explodes the myth in this painfully honest look at what drives the kind of man who would risk his life, and the lives of others, in the name of Science.
Dr Edward Hawks heads a project that, through the miracle of teleportation, puts men on the moon. He does this by transmitting taped copies of human beings across the void, where the men are then reconstructed alive from this data. Communication is handled by an inherent psychic link between the original and his copy. With unique insight, Budrys sees this journey as a one-way trip, since the men so sent are mere duplicates of their earth-side counterparts, with no lives of their very own to come back to. Thus Hawks' machine creates life, but it is life that has no real place in our world.
While exploring the moon, these doomed men have found an inexplicable artifact. Attempts to enter this structure and learn its secrets have always resulted in the demise of the explorer. And staying in constant contact with "themselves" as they die again and again has taken a tragic toll upon even the hardened military men whose avatars are doing the investigating. So Director of Personnel Vincent Connington chooses fearless tough guy adventurer Al Barker for the job. But how will Al react to not just facing death, but actually experiencing it, dying day after day? And what of his beautiful and flirtatious girlfriend Claire, whose coquettish ways threaten to undermine the entire project? If life is this cheap, then how valuable are relationships?
Originally published in the early sixties, perhaps in response to the Nedelin catastrophe in which 126 people were killed on a Soviet launch pad, this short but strangely gripping novel focuses on the people who undertake dangerous ventures, rather than on the science behind this sketchily-drawn quest. The point of view usually lies with Hawks, and his relationships with Al, whom he sends to his death on a daily basis, and Claire, who seems anxious to shatter his inscrutable composure. Fans of whiz-bang science fiction may be disappointed by the fairly weak and dated explanations of the science involved, and the fact that many of the more scientific questions remain unresolved at the end. But despite the outrageousness of the back story, this is a unique, gripping, and very hard-boiled book that takes a hard if somewhat simplistic look at what drives the people who do dangerous work.

Character studies and science philosophy in a fictional setting.

Pre-dating Arthur C Clarke's alien monolith in "2001: A Space Odyssey" by almost a decade, "Rogue Moon" tells of an equally bizarre alien construct on the moon called simply "the Formation". Dr Edward Hawks, a ruthless scientist is determined, at any cost, to plum the depths of the Formation and to puzzle out its origin and purpose, by sending a steady stream of hapless volunteers on a deadly one-way mission of exploration to the moon. Dr Hawks' recently built matter transmission device is capable of sending an exact duplicate of someone to the moon and into the Formation. The "original" of these intrepid explorers is held on earth in a type of stasis - a state of deep sensory deprivation - until the duplicate is killed in the maze inside the Formation. This frequently happens within minutes of their arrival on the moon. Although the nature of the process of matter duplication and transmission allows the original to share the experiences of his duplicate, the experience is so powerful as to drive every volunteer to hopeless insanity when they awake after the death of their doppelg�nger.

Al Barker is an adventurer and utterly self-centered thrill-seeker - one might almost say, a sociopathic A-personality suicidally driven to ever greater heights of physical achievement regardless of the potential cost to himself and those around him. Hawks realizes that Barker may be the only person in the world with the physical strength and the ability to negotiate the intractable puzzles of the Formation combined with the mental strength to retain his sanity in the doing. Sure enough, a string of repeat missions ends in the death of Barker's duplicate but each trip finds him delving deeper and deeper into the mysterious path through the Formation. Likewise, against all odds, the original Barker remains sane and when he awakes, he is able to pass on the intelligence of his foray into the Formation to Hawks.

For this reader, it was a matter of some frustration to discover that even at the end of the story, the nature and purpose of the Formation remained undisclosed. While the hypothesized scientific nature of Hawks' matter-transmission device was discussed at considerable length, it became clear by the end of the novel that aliens, the Formation and science were not really the main themes of Budrys' "Rogue Moon" at all. The story was really an extended essay probing the nature of the ethics of scientific discovery and exploration. In addition, Budrys spent considerable effort talking about the philosophy of matter transmission and the possible meaning of a relationship between humanity and an alien species capable of creating a device like the Formation.

While much of this philosophical navel-gazing is delivered via stiff-necked dialogue between characters who would now seem very dated and out of place in this century, "Rogue Moon" does deserve kudos for having the courage to place theme over plot in a genre that is much better known for its guns ablaze space opera approach. I don't think I'd go quite so far as to call it the masterpiece that some have labeled it but "Rogue Moon" is worthy of a sci-fi fan's time and effort and deserves a place in any well-stocked library of classic science fiction.

About the Author

William Briggs has been on the mathematics faculty at the University of Colorado at Denver for twenty-three years. He received his BA in mathematics from the University of Colorado and his MS and PhD in applied mathematics from Harvard University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses throughout the mathematics curriculum with a special interest in mathematical modeling and differential equations as it applies to problems in the biosciences. He has written a quantitative reasoning textbook, Using and Understanding Mathematics; an undergraduate problem solving book, Ants, Bikes, and Clocks; and two tutorial monographs, The Multigrid Tutorial and The DFT: An Owner’s Manual for the Discrete Fourier Transform. He is the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Vice President for Education, a University of Colorado President’s Teaching Scholar, a recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship to Ireland.

Lyle Cochran is a professor of mathematics at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He holds BS degrees in mathematics and mathematics education from Oregon State University and a MS and PhD in mathematics from Washington State University. He has taught a wide variety of undergraduate mathematics courses at Washington State University, Fresno Pacific University, and, since 1995, at Whitworth University. His expertise is in mathematical analysis, and he has a special interest in the integration of technology and mathematics education. He has written technology materials for leading calculus and linear algebra textbooks including the Instructor’s Mathematica Manual for Linear Algebra and Its Applications by David C. Lay and the Mathematica Technology Resource Manual for Thomas’ Calculus. He is a member of the MAA and a former chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Whitworth University.

Bernard Gillett is a Senior Instructor at the University of Colorado at Boulder; his primary focus is undergraduate education. He has taught a wide variety of mathematics courses over a twenty-year career, receiving five teaching awards in that time. Bernard authored a software package for algebra, trigonometry, and precalculus; the Student’s Guide and Solutions Manual and the Instructor’s Guide and Solutions Manual for Using and Understanding Mathematics by Briggs and Bennett; and the Instructor’s Resource Guide and Test Bank for Calculus and Calculus: Early Transcendentals by Briggs, Cochran, and Gillett. Bernard is also an avid rock climber and has published four climbing guides for the mountains in and surrounding Rocky Mountain National Park.

Very good textbook

Content-wise, they explain everything very clearly and the examples prepare you pretty well for the variety of problems that they have. The inside is very nice and uses colors and pictures effectively, which is greatly appreciated since it can be hard to picture many of the situations in 3D space. As a student I'm pretty happy with it, or as happy as someone taking a multivariable calculus course can be.

Excellent Picture Book by Tolkien

A very eccentric, very British children's story written by Professor Tolkien for his children. Imagine a children's picture book illustrated by the guy who did those two fantasy classics (THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE HOBBIT), involving a man with tall hats and a bad driving record, and a very British feel, and you have MR BLISS It largely shows his distrust turned hatred of things mechanical that destroy the environment. But make no mistake: this is no propaganda track written to slam pollution, it is first and foremost a story for children, his children. It is basically a humourous exploration, beautifully illustrated, of what could go wrong with an unexperienced driver (namely Mr Bliss). Easily the strangest character is a Girabbit, a type of animal invention that must be particular to British society, or even more localised to Tolkien's imagination, for I have never encountered him anywhere else; it has that feel of Britain, so it would not surprise me if it was British and not Tolkien's own invention. However, all of his children's fiction, save THE HOBBIT, has the particular feel. It is a rabbit with a very long neck (hence the name Girabbit, combining Giraffe and Rabbit).
The story is that a man named Mr Bliss goes and buys a Motor Car. Thru the course of the story, he has several interactions with his neighbours and three bears. His acquisition of a motor car is quite disastrous, and momentarily devastating, and in the end Mr Bliss finds the motor-car unnecessarily troublesome, and has "taken a great dislike to it". This attitude he expressed in the unpublished TALES AND SONGS OF BIMBLE BAY. According to Carpenter, his official biographer, Tolkien took a "charge `em and they scatter" method of driving, and was much more daring than was skillful. But here, it is expressed humourously. If any moral can be drawn from it, it is that motor cars are trouble. Afterward, Tolkien takes this attitude and develops it in a much more sophisticated and mature form in THE LORD OF THE RINGS. But this story delights in being for children, and one notable word play is two characters, of which Mr Bliss had an accident with involving his motor car, go into business together, and they call it after their names, which is Day and Knight. It is this type of word play that makes Tolkien's children's fiction notable.
An interesting note about this story is that it was to be originally published back in 1937 or 1938, when THE HOBBIT had been accepted for publication. On the strength of it, Tolkien had submitted several other shorter works, including Farmer Giles, Roverandom, this, and the Quenta Silmarillion proper. Because of the illustrations it proved uneconomical to publish, and was set aside for years and years, a fate Roverandom would also share (sadly).
The edition I have is nicely down, with a facsimile of the original manuscript on the right hand side (while reading it, on the right) and then text on the left side. His illustrations are nicely done, showing Tolkien's skill as a (physically) visionary and not just a literary artist. His style is definitely all his own. Overall, a nicely down story for Children, written by the master of fantasy, J. R. R. Tolkien.
As a side note, the reason I feel this merits five stars is because of the quality of the material; a conventional reason. But also because of who wrote it: a truly top shelf mind. A man of his level helping to entertain children . . . if I am going to read a picture book to my child or children, I'd rather it be Tolkien than anyone else.

State of "Bliss"

J.R.R. Tolkien's best-known children's story is obviously "The Hobbit," but that wasn't the only book that he penned for kids. One of them was "Mr. Bliss," a charming little picture book with a simple comic plot. Not quite the stuff of classics, but a cute little read with charming illustrations.

Mr. Bliss is a man with a love of tall hats, and a Girabbit (sort of a long-necked rabbit with spots) in his garden. One day Mr. Bliss decides (for no apparent reason) to buy a car. He heads off to visit some friends afterwards, only to collide with a wagon of cabbages, end up with several passengers, and be hijacked by three bears named Archie, Bruno and Teddy.

Like "The Hobbit," this little tale was originally written to entertain Tolkien's children. And though it has an air of whimsy, it was actually based on a real incident: Tolkien's purchase of a car, although presumably he didn't end up being hijacked by teddy bears or any of the other disasters Mr. Bliss has to deal with.

Tolkien's little story never really goes much of anywhere -- he's just creating an eventful day for Mr. Bliss because of his new car. His writing here has a sort of warm puckish quality, much like the earlier parts of "The Hobbit," though obviously much less realistic and without much detail. As picture book prose goes, it's pretty good.

The book also has Tolkien's cute watercolor drawings, which lean heavily on trees and landscapes. What is especially striking is that Tolkien's handwritten writing appears on one side of the page, but it's a bit small and spiky to read easily. So the same words are clearly printed on the opposite pages, in case you can't read Tolkien's handwriting.

"Mr. Bliss" is one of those charming little books that Tolkien wrote for his biggest fans -- his kids. It's no "Hobbit" or "Roverandum," but it is a cute picture book.

Every garden needs a girabbit ..

This delightful little story was written and illustrated by Professor Tolkien for his own children when they were young. Meet Mr Bliss, with his immensely tall hats, his customised house and most importantly the girabbit. Mr Bliss decides to buy a motor car and that is when his adventures really begin. Some of Mr Bliss's adventures are entirely attributable to his driving, but who could anticipate being hijacked by three bears?

My inner child and I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Mr Bliss. This story was written in the 1930s but was not published in Professor Tolkien's lifetime. The edition I read was published in 1982 and includes a facsimile of the original manuscript with the printed text on facing pages. The book has been revised and was republished (in the UK) in October 2007.

This is a story to read and enjoy with children. And if you don't have access to children, indulge your inner child and take time out to marvel at this particular manifestation of Professor Tolkien's imagination. Children's libraries everywhere should have a copy of this book, and I dedicate this review to my Amazon librarian friends. I just wish I'd been aware of this book about 20 years ago: I know my son would have loved it.

Gisele Great, This Book, Disappointing.

I was stunned that I didn't really care for this coffee table book of photographs. I can't recall when I was disappointed by one of the TASCHEN collection of photographs. They are always top-of-the-line quality products.

In this case I don't blame my disappointment on Gisele because she is truly a beautiful woman and according to the limited amount of text included in the book she is always willing to work hard and go the extra mile to help make the photographer's vision come to life. That being the case I have to blame the photographers, art directors or both for my personal disappointment with the book. The problem with fashion photography is that it is designed to make the product being sold look good. That's pretty much what's wrong with this book. The products look great and oh yes, the model is nice too even with her freckles.

Some great photographers are able to make photographs that go beyond the simple fashion portraits and become a higher form of photography. There are only a few photographs like that in this 10 pound fine art book.

The neon orange pages and other crazy color combinations included within the volume are also distracting.

Frankly, many of the family snapshots Gisele and her husband Tom Brady release to the public are more interesting than most of the photos included in this volume. I still can't believe I didn't love the book.

Simply Phenomenal in Every Possible Way!!

I was extremely bummed out when this book was first produced as this book was originally produced as a limited edition and they were very expensive with prices on the secondary market reaching as high as $1500-$2000 almost overnight. My hats off to Gisele as all of the money from that limited edition went to charity! I have been a HUGE fan of Gisele from the very beginning of her career and I am an avid collector of fashion photography books so I was just really disappointed that I couldn't afford to buy one of those books. So when I found out that a regular edition was going to be produced, I was ecstatic. I'm a professional photographer and while I don't personally shoot fashion, its always been one of my favorite genre's of photography. In my opinion, Gisele has been in some of the best fashion editorial's ever shot on film and she has had one of the best modeling career's in history.

When I finally received the package for the book, I was actually taken back a bit by the overall weight. I knew it was going to be a big book when I ordered it, but I wasn't expecting it to be that heavy. This book is an absolute monster. Its roughy 14 inches high x 10 inches wide, has 536 pages, and weighs in at roughly 10 pounds. And boy is it a beauty. Due to the overall size and color of the cover, which I absolutely love, this book sticks out no matter where you put it. For those unfamiliar with Taschen America Llc., they make some of the nicest art books I have ever seen and they certainly didn't disappoint this time around. In fact, this is one of the nicest books I have seen from them to date. Its got an absolutely striking and beautiful cover, a nice quality binding, and beautiful pages. This is an absolutely perfect coffee table style book. I guarantee if you put this book on your coffee table, it will literally be one of the very first things people notice when the enter the room. The color is like a magnet and just draws your attention to it.

As for the interior of the book, it is literally just one beautiful page after another. I had actually forgotten just how many fashion editorials Gisele had been in over her career. Its not just impressive, its downright mind blowing. Everyone who was anyone in fashion photography wanted to shoot Gisele and for good reason. There have been very few models over the years that could match her beauty and skills in front of the camera. She is an incredibly dynamic fashion model and anytime you pair her up with a great fashion photographer...well, the results are always spectacular. Its like a chemist mixing sodium and water. You know each and every time you do it the results are going to be spectacular. You get those same results when you put Gisele in front of a camera.

Bottom line - there are a LOT of fashion photography books on the market with more and more being released all the time. Some deal with general fashion, some deal with specific photographers, and some deal with specific models. I literally have a book shelf full of fashion photography books and generally speaking, most of them are very nice books. That being said, this book is just in a completely different league than most of the other fashion books that hit the market. Books like this simply don't come around very often. Out of the 150+ fashion photography books that I own there are roughly 6-7 that I would deem absolutely irreplaceable. Gisele Bundchen is without question one of those books. Honestly, I feel guilty even calling this a book as its so head and shoulders above most of the other books on the market that it feels like your doing it a disservice simply calling it a book. A massive tome is a much better representation of what your getting and make no mistake about it, it is massive. And one of the most impressive things about it is that even at 536 pages, there feels like there is absolutely no filler in this book at all. Every single picture in this book deserves to be in this book. Its just beautiful Gisele pictures from front cover to back cover. Taschen proves yet again that they are one of the best art book publishers in the world. If your a fan of Gisele or even just a fan of fashion photography in general, this book should be the very next book you purchase. In fact, what are you waiting for? Just put the book in your cart and checkout already!. I guarantee with 100% certainty that you won't be disappointed. Art books simply don't get any better than this. As the title of my review states, its simply phenomenal in every possible way!!
